National Cattle Breeding Centre: The National Cattle Breeding Centre was established in 2005. It’s primary goal is to carry out cattle breeding businesses of the shareholders which includes developing and operating the breeding programs for both the dairy and beef breeds, establishing bull studs to accommodate bulls and collecting processed semen from bulls at the studs. The NCBC has operated Ireland's most successful dairy and beef breeding programs and has delivered genetics to Irish farmers that will result in increased profits for years to come. The NCBC enjoys a very strong position in the Irish market and the products from the NCBC are exclusively marketed through Progressive Genetics and Munster cattle breeding group. International interest in the Irish breeding programs is growing and the NCBC wish to exploit opportunities in other countries with our particular model of genomics.
